November 2018

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK- CHUKCHANSI CASINO- FORESTIERE UNDERGROUND GARDENS- November 12-14, $434 Single / $331 Double                              On this trip, we’ll visit Yosemite. On Day 1, we will depart for Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino in Coarsegold, CA. This will be our base & hotel for our trip. Arrival at Chukchansi will be midafternoon and you will have the rest of the day to explore the amenities of the resort. On Day 2, we will depart for Yosemite National Park with our local docent from Crossroads Tours. Upon arriving at Yosemite, we will do the Valley Floor Tour. This 2 hour tour long will be led by park rangers and you’ll get to see all of the highlights including Yosemite Falls, Half Dome, El Capitan, Tunnel View and more. Lunch will be on your own in park and you will have additional time to explore Yosemite. On Day 3, we will depart early for Fresno where we will stop and visit Forestiere Underground Gardens. Using only shovels, picks and other hand tools, Baldassare Forestiere was inspired to excavate for forty years, going as deep as 25 feet underground and spanning over 10 acres. He grew fruit trees and grapevines underground - many of which are still thriving today! Meals for this trip will be on your own.

CRACKER BARREL and GRABER OLIVE FARM - Tuesday, December 4, $52                                                                                                                                            Looking for a home-style holiday meal and some holiday gifts and stocking stuffers? Join us for an on-your-own meal at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant and Old Country store in Victorville. After lunch, enjoy shopping at their Old Country Store which is overflowing with gifts for everyone! Next, we'll head to the Graber Olive House in Ontario for a docent-led tour of Ontario's oldest existing business. Since 1894, the Graber family has been growing, harvesting, and selling olives to locals as well as visitors. Along with observing how olives are grown, we'll have time to browse their on-site museum and buy tasty holiday gifts at the gift shop!

EATALY MARKETPLACE with BEVERLY HILLS & RODEO DR- Sunday, January 6, $52                                                                                                                          Sunday Fun Day! Our October trip to Eataly! sold out almost immediately se we're going back for an encore! When it opened last November, Eataly! was the most anticipated market/restaurant opening that L.A. had seen in years. What is Eataly? Located in the Westfield Century City, Eataly! is two stories, 67,000 sq. ft. of Italian food, wine, and pastries. Since we'll be at the Century City mall, make sure to check out its $800 million makeover! We'll also give you some time to do some after Christmas shopping! In the afternoon, we'll let you browse and shop in Beverly Hills on luxurious Rodeo Drive!

PALM SPRINGS "Rich & Famous Tour & Windmill Tour" with Village Fest- Thursday, January 24, $76                                                                                          On this decent led, afternoon tour, we'll venture to the playground of start, Palm Springs, for the Rich and Famous Tour and Windmill Tour! Your professional guide will treat you to dozens of celebrity homes all right in the city of Palm Springs. Your guide will add fun and spice it with stories and vignettes and maybe a secret or two along the way. We'll then move on to the Windmill Tour. When driving into the beautiful Coachella valley, one of the most striking sights you'll see is the vast array of wind turbines that sprout from the desert floor. You'll get information about the windmills themselves, how big they are, how they work, and the unique features of the different designs and models of windmills. CANCELLATION POLICY

Silver Lining Travel reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If Silver Lining Travel cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, Silver Lining Travel has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer funds to the same event at the new future date. Persons wishing to cancel their reservation 45 calendar days prior to an event will not receive a refund. Any cancellations made prior to the 45 calendar date are subject to a $10 cancellation fee.
