See the dazzling Christmas lights at Riverside’s historic Mission Inn. This beloved tradition was recently named “Best Public Lights Display in the Nation” by USA Today. Explore the beautiful hotel with a docent-led tour of the sparkling resort. Dinner is included at The Spaghetti Factory. After dinner, we will head back to the Mission Inn for walking time on your own to enjoy the beautiful lights display. PALM SPRINGS “25th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS PARADE” and CANDY CANE LANE-Saturday, December 2, $52, Palm Springs

The “Festival of Lights Parade” has quickly become one of Palm Springs’ most beloved traditions, attracting over 80,000 people to downtown Palm Springs each year. The parade features, lighted floats, equestrians, bands, autos and celebrities.  Suzanne Sommers will serve as the Community Sweetheart for this year’s parade. Other parade highlights include the popular Macy’s-style holiday balloons and Santa and his reindeer!  After the parade, we’ll board the bus and take a ride down Candy Cane Lane in Cathedral City.  Almost every home on the street goes all out for the holidays with lights, decorations and displays!

Charles Dicken’s “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” at the WELK RESORT– Saturday, December 9, $120, Escondido You’ve asked us to add a few more theatre dates to our schedule and we’ve listened. Join us for a matinee of “A Christmas Carol” at the beautiful Welk Resort in Escondido. “A Christmas Carol” is a spectacular adaptation of Charles Dickens’ most well-known story. Broadway heavy hitters Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens breathe fantastic new life into the classic tale of “A Christmas Carol.” Lunch is included at the Welk’s Canyon Grill.

The Reagan Library has two incredible exhibits going on over the holidays. “An American Christmas” includes 24 exquisitely decorated trees commemorating the evolution of America’s culture and society while depicting specific historical eras of America. The “Titanic” exhibit will also be featured. This exhibit is a fascinating look at the Titanic, combining real artifacts with the real stories of the people onboard the ill-fated ship. This new exhibit tells the story of the unsinkable ship in a way no museum has done before. Artifacts from passengers, dispersed over time, will be reunited in this exhibit for the first time in over 100 years. This trip includes lunch under the wing of Air Force One!
